Description
The Braille Translator is an accessibility tool designed to convert standard alphanumeric text into Unified English Braille (UEB) characters. It maps letters, numbers, and basic punctuation to their corresponding Braille dot patterns. This tool is useful for students learning the Braille system, designers creating tactile signage, or anyone interested in tactile communication.

“Good to Know”
- Capitalization: In Braille, a specific dot pattern (
⠠) is used before a letter to indicate it is capitalized. This tool automatically includes those indicators. - Numbers: Numbers in Braille use the same dot patterns as the letters A-J, but they are preceded by a “number sign” (
⠼). - Tactile Printing: While computers display Braille as dots on a screen, true Braille is meant to be felt. Special “Braille Embossers” are used to print these patterns onto heavy paper.
