Calculator library foundation
AskCalculators established a consistent browser-based calculator experience with permanent calculator addresses and a shared page structure.
Catalog and category expansion
The calculator directory expanded and navigation was organized around clearer categories, search terms, and stable destinations.
Review and source records
Formula notes, source references, review status, and audit records were strengthened so calculator maintenance could be checked consistently.
Shareable and printable results
Saved input links, machine-readable calculator files, and a consistent print and browser-PDF layout were added across the library.
A more consistent calculator workspace
Shared controls, validation patterns, charts, keyboard behavior, and light and dark presentation were aligned across calculator pages.
Attribution and maintenance documentation
Creator and reviewer records, supporting company information, and maintainable documentation were connected to the calculator catalog.
Specialized calculator expansion
Finance, statistics, geometry, fitness, and health coverage expanded while permanent calculator routes and validation contracts were preserved.
Browser-local planning and connected workflows
Drafts, calculation history, scenarios, project files, privacy controls, connected workflows, clearer calculation steps, and a quieter task-focused interface were introduced.
154 calculators added
AskCalculators added 154 calculators across the existing categories, expanding the library to 418 permanent calculator routes.
Release-date activity ranges
People work feeds now keep one configured start date and use the current release date as the end of the activity window. Fixed six-month wording and future-date language were removed.
Calmer, task-first interface
The site interface was redesigned with quieter navigation, stronger content hierarchy, softer separators, denser calculator workspaces, clearer input and result panels, improved responsive layouts, and a coordinated dark theme. Calculator formulas, routes, fields, saved state, workflows, exports, and browser-local data behavior stayed the same.
People pages and footer refinement
The full-width AskCalculators wordmark was restored at the end of the footer. People directory cards, individual profile layouts, and calculator activity cards now follow the same flat, stable, responsive design used across the rest of the site, without hover movement. Calculator logic and browser behavior stayed the same.
QR routes for people and calculators
Profile covers now include scannable links to every calculator category each person works in, with separate codes for people who cover multiple categories. Every calculator page also includes a QR code beside its name for opening the same permanent URL on another device, and the Formula-first calculation label was removed from the home page.
Shared URLs keep edited calculator values
Copy URL, Send, social sharing, and calculator PDF links now capture the values currently entered in the calculator instead of reopening defaults. Portable shared links cover all 418 calculator routes, including grouped legacy fields, calculator modes, and added or removed rows, while the dedicated private-link action remains fragment-based.
Calculator team dates and larger QR codes
Calculator pages now place the created and reviewed dates in the Calculator team section immediately after How it works, rather than beside the calculator name. The calculator QR code is more than 2.65 times larger and sits in a dedicated responsive hero column. Calculator logic and all other product behavior remain unchanged.
Complete calculator input and output reference
Every calculator’s How it works section now lists all supported input query-string names and every declared output, including types, defaults, accepted choices, conditions, formats, and the compact shared-state parameter. The Calculator team panel is now a separate template block immediately after the prose article rather than content injected inside it.
AskCalculators branding inside QR codes
Every calculator QR code now carries the AskCalculators mark with the stacked name, while compact category QR codes use the simpler square mark for clarity at small sizes. The codes remain first-party static SVG files and now use high error correction with a larger quiet zone; calculator logic and saved-data behavior remain unchanged.
Storage and result-integrity hardening
Atomic browser-data operations, validated backups, matching scenario/export evidence, safer chart updates, and mandatory production-browser release checks. Source validation is recorded separately from blocked build and browser verification.
Reliable connected financial workflows
Financial plans now transfer down payments with the correct units, carry mortgage assumptions and retirement horizons forward, and mark dependent steps for recalculation after earlier inputs change. Workflow saves require current results, reject conflicting edits, and retain per-step evidence. Reports identify partial or historical results and include a CSV export. Earlier projects can be kept intact while an updated copy is created.
Source release candidate
Adds evidence-scoped technical review records, flagship derivations, explicit home-buying and construction assumptions, no-save safeguards and stronger release checks. Source release only: production approval and deployment verification remain separate.
Quieter workflow workspace
Removed public release labels and introductory grid copy in the source. The Legacy and Data grid views, calculator side sheet, saved projects, reports and QR sharing are retained. History remains organized by date; deployment verification is separate.
