Convert your fish’s age into human years
Description
The Fish Age Calculator helps you understand the life stage of your aquatic pet by converting their calendar years into a human age equivalent. While different species of fish have vastly different lifespans, this tool uses a general conversion standard commonly applied to long-lived domestic fish like the standard Goldfish.

“Good to Know”
- Lifespan Variance: High-quality goldfish can live for 10-15 years, while some Betta fish may only live for 2-5 years.
- The Multiplier: This tool uses a standard multiplier of 5x (Goldfish standard) to estimate maturity. A 10-year-old fish is roughly equivalent to a 50-year-old human in terms of its lifecycle.
- Oldest Fish: The world’s oldest recorded goldfish, Tish, lived to be 43 years old, which would be over 200 years in “human” terms!
