Find the best wetsuit size based on your height and weight
Description
The Wetsuit Size Calculator is a quick reference tool for surfers, divers, and swimmers. A wetsuit must fit “like a second skin” to work effectively; if it’s too loose, water will flush through and you’ll get cold; if it’s too tight, you’ll lose range of motion. This tool uses a standardized mapping of Height and Weight to suggest a generic size category (S, M, L, XL) to help narrow down your search.
Inputs
- Height (cm): Your total height.
- Weight (kg): Your body weight.
Outputs
- Recommended Size: The suggested size label.
Chart
- N/A: This tool provides a categorical equipment result.
“Good to Know”
- Brand Specifics: While this tool provides a good starting point, wetsuit sizing varies significantly between brands (e.g., O’Neill vs. Rip Curl). Always check the specific manufacturer’s size chart before purchasing.
- Tall/Short Sizes: Most specialty wetsuit brands offer “Tall” (T) and “Short” (S) versions of their sizes (e.g., “Medium Tall” or MT). This tool handles standard sizing increments.
- Thickness: Remember that a 5/4mm (winter) wetsuit will always feel tighter and “smaller” than a 2mm (summer) shorty, even if they are the same size.
