The Belt Size Calculator is a quick fashion utility for ensuring a proper fit. Belt sizing is not identical to pants/waist sizing; most manufacturers suggest a belt that is slightly longer than your actual waist to allow for the overlap and the thickness of the clothing underneath. This tool applies the industry-standard “plus two” rule to give you a recommended starting size.

“Good to Know”
- The Rule of Thumb: Your belt size should generally be 2 inches larger than your pants waist size. If you wear a size 34 pant, you likely need a size 36 belt.
- Odd Sizes: If you have an odd-numbered waist size (like 33), round up to the nearest even belt size (36).
- Measurement Method: For the most accurate result, measure an existing belt from the “fold” (where the buckle attaches) to the hole you currently use. This measurement should match your recommended belt size.
